IndexNow, Sitemaps, and the Real Limit of Auto-Submitting Pages
Submitting a URL is useful, but it is not magic. The real win is making the page crawlable, linked, submitted, and watched.
Indexing is where a lot of business owners get sold magic. A URL submission can notify participating search engines that a page changed, but it cannot force ranking and it cannot fix a thin page. The page still needs to exist, load, link, and answer the search.
Submission is a receipt, not a guarantee.
The topic
The proper flow is simple: publish the page, put it in the sitemap, link to it from a relevant page, verify the canonical URL, submit the URL where the platform allows it, then check later whether it was crawled or ranking. Google Search Console has its own verification and URL inspection rules. IndexNow is useful for Bing and participating engines.
Where WALO does it
