Accessibility goals and support options for NU Nothing Unseen.
Mission
NU exists to make records, source trails, and AI-readable context easier to find. Search and AI assistants can only work with what they can read. NU focuses on public records, court documents, legislation, studies, source-backed articles, captions, text descriptions, and citations so useful information is not invisible just because it is buried, visual, or poorly described.
NU is founder-led by Austin Little, an indie vibe coder and senior code viber, with Claude, Codex, and local Ollama/Gemma agents assisting production, review, search, and iteration. The agents help move fast; Austin owns the direction, judgment, and final calls.
Goal
NU aims to make public-record search and source-backed reading usable by as many people as practical, including people using keyboards, screen readers, zoom, high-contrast settings, and mobile devices.
Current Support
- Keyboard focus styles and skip/navigation support.
- Contrast and light/dark display options.
- Readable layouts that adapt to mobile and desktop screens.
- Read-aloud support where the browser allows it.
- Alt text and accessible names for meaningful controls where practical.
Known Limits
Some generated articles, screenshots, videos, third-party records, embedded tools, charts, or experimental demos may not fully meet every WCAG target yet.
